The Electoral Office in Dominica, yesterday, November 15th, released the list of the returning officers and the locations of the Nomination Centers in the 21 constituencies ahead of the November 18th, Nomination Day, in accordance with Section 6 (1) of the House of Assembly (Elections) Act, Chapter 2:01 of the Revised Laws of Dominica, 1990, Election.
According to its website, “prospective candidates must deliver, or cause to be delivered to the Returning Officer of the Constituency for which he/she seeks to be elected: a Statutory Declaration of his/her qualification, and his/her consent in writing to the Nomination, together with a deposit of five hundred dollars ($500.00) in cash, at the place fixed for nomination.”
Nominations are to be received by the returning Office at the prospective nomination center between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on that Day.
