Dominican, Violet Cuffy PhD, Senior Lecturer at University of Bedfordshire, found dead in apartment.

With hardly 24 hours since we learned of the death of prominent businessman and journalists, Parry Bellot, we are greeted with an announcement that one of Dominica’s most promising academics, Dr. Violet Cuffy was found unresponsive in her apartment in the United Kingdom.

Nature isle News, who broke the sad news today, says, that the cause of death is not yet known. According to her Linked In page, Miss Cuffy was a Senior Lecturer in Tourism & Events Management, International Business Marketing and Tourism Department, University of Bedfordshire for the last 5 years. Previously, she served as a Tourism Lecturer at Queen Margaret University between 2013 and 2016. Violet Vyline Cuffy was awarded the title of Doctor of Philosophy by the University of Surrey in the Untied Kingdom in 2010.

Energetic, creative and intelligent, Violet was passionate about Dominica’s culture and heritage. Her passing at so young an age is truly a great loss. Gone too soon!
